Ok so 1.8 was release, I was sleeping, Thanks Notch :(.
Im going to play it a bit then ill try to get some pics on, Sorry.
So Minecraft 1.8 has been leaked and is available if wanted, Im not going to use it just cause i’ve heard its buggy but there is many videos out there showing that it does work. If you wanna download it or watch some videos of it ill have some links below.
Im going to just wait for the full release because some say also that some stuff is missing, Like NPC villages are missing parts of houses, And some enderman are friendly and very easy to kill, Unless Notch made them easy, But they might be tougher. Well enjoy, And ill see you on 1.8!
Notch just released info on a new mob coming for the Adventure Update.
The Enderman is a mob introduced in version 1.8, The Adventure Update. The Enderman are despicted as 3 meter tall, Black creatures with long arms and legs. They also seem to have the ability to pick up and move blocks around. They are generally peaceful, If you look at them, By placing your crosshair directly over them, They freeze, Stare back at you, and become hostile. They stay frozen as long as you keep looking at them, When you look away they will run fast towards you, Teleporting up to once every second to get to you faster.
The name Enderman is derived from the internet phenomenon Slender Man.
When they attack, you know it’s your fault. When you happen to look at one, you can keep looking at it to figure out how to deal with it, but you know it WILL reach you very fast once you stop looking at it, And that, my friends, is creepy. Possibly too creepy.
Endermans Heath, Attk, Str, and Spawn are all Unknown.
Ok… Notch just wrote this about the 1.8 update for minecraft.
Since 1.8 is still a significant time away, we’re going to have to stop being as secretive about it as we have. We’ll provide information about it as we go, but we’ll keep actual details secret. So, for example, we could say “added two new colors” without saying which ones, or “testing experience and leveling to see if it’s fun” without giving details on exactly how it works.
The update is pretty big, and will change a lot of how Minecraft is played, focusing on making exploration and combat much more rewarding, and bringing in a bigger sense of adventure to the game
Already implemented are new complex terrain features, at least one new mob, some interesting new combat mechanics, a new lighting engine, and some experimental new gameplay ideas. To come is more interesting farming, bigger incentives to explore, and npc villages.
But anyway, I was just wondering why they have to keep it such a secret? Is Minecraft trying to hide something or do they just want it to be a secret? Let me know, Also those updates sound pretty awesome! (?)
Notch just let out some more info on 1.7 and 1.8 updates! Take a look.
1.7 will be released soon, containing only pistons and probably a couple of bug fixes. The adventure update will take however long it takes, and will be released as 1.8. It might be a long wait, but it will be worth it!
After 1.8, we’ll have to start crunching for the full release in November. That includes finishing up the mod api, improving stability and performance, adding supporting features like friends lists and a proper server browser, integrating singleplayer and multiplayer, and most importantly fleshing out the gameplay.
The release date is almost certainly changed to sometime the week after 11/11/11, and we’re working hard on setting that up. We want to make a big spectacle out of the release where we involve fans and celebrate it properly.
Then we’ll rest for a few weeks. Then I’ll start working on the first post-release update. :D
Sounds pretty awesome! Cant wait to try out the new stuff! Keep looking back for more info about updates, and when the updates come out come here to check out some awesome pictures!
